Sunday Service – 2 May

Dear all,

Here is link for today’s recorded service:

As you may have gathered we are shifting our worship focus more to being gathered and less to online. We will still stream and record but the church (ekklesia) is the ‘gathered worshipping community’ and as it increasingly becomes safe to meet we will echo that in our focus. So where we can and where feel safe we are encouraging worship in church following guidelines and complying with government and Church of England criteria.

APCM: Both churches will be holding their APCM’s online and in church:

  • St Stephen’s on Monday 10th May at 7pm
  • St Matthew’s on Sunday 23rd May at 9.30am

Proximity (the Eden conference) takes place next weekend so if you are free why not pop in to get a taste either in St Stephen’s Church from 10am or book tickets online at:

Pentecost is on 23rd May and as a feast day of the church we are planning on meeting outdoors to sing/worship and have a picnic together. We will be allowed groups of 30 by then. Tonight for 24 hours is our 24/7 prayer with a special focus tomorrow at 6pm on praying for India during the crisis there. Please join in prayer for this huge need:

And finally a personal thank you from Sarah and myself to all who made the wedding last week possible. It was such a special day and couldn’t have been so without some awesome help. Thank you. Some have told me they would like to watch it so here is the link:

With much love as ever,
