Eden West Bowling

Eden is a network of urban missionaries living intentionally and sacrificially amongst some of most deprived neighbourhoods across the UK. Their aim is to bring transformation and hope, supporting the church in youth ministry, community projects, gospel outreach and discipleship, all while living within the community and doing life with their neighbours.

Luke Owens, our Eden Team Leader (pictured opposite) says, “There is a lot of need in West Bowling and we want to come alongside people and meet those needs but most of all we want to see people know the love of Jesus and have a personal relationship with God.”

Eden has been doing this through activities like running a Start course, doing schools work and youth groups, mentoring, encouraging church members to go deeper and further with their personal evangelism, and more general community support and engagement, particularly focussed on the Parkside estate in West Bowling.

The Ven Dr Andy Jolley, The Archdeacon of Bradford, said, “Eden have a long and fruitful track record of working in some of the most challenging urban estate communities. It’s great to have the teams in West Bowling, Bradford, serving alongside and with the local church.”
