Sunday Notices 8 November

Hi everyone,

Today we were all back online as the national lockdown means we can’t meet in church at the moment. A couple of people seem to have had streaming issues, sorry if that was you. It seems to be those who were trying to join on iPads/iPhones – the amazing Adam is looking into it and it will hopefully be sorted for next week! We looked at the parable of the 10 bridesmaids and thought about how we keep our lamps burning through times of waiting in darkness, especially through this new lockdown. You can catch up using the links below.

Notices for today:

St Matthew’s APCM – tomorrow (Monday 9 November) at 2pm, join online via Zoom or phone in (no church option anymore due to lockdown, sorry). You should have had an email with details – let us know if you need them.

Prayer at 6pm every day – the Church of England are calling Christians across our country to pray every day at 6pm during this month of lockdown. You can access the prayer themes here https://www.churchofengland.org/resources/call-prayer-nation

You can either set aside the time to pray at home on your own or with your household, or join us on Zoom from 6-6.15pm everyday till 2nd December using the link or phone number below.

Our prayer for today:

God, our refuge and strength,
bring near the day when wars shall cease
and poverty and pain shall end,
that earth may know the peace of heaven
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Do keep praying for one another, do the things that ‘stock up your oil’ and ‘keep your lamp burning’, and ask for support if you need it.

Hannah
