We are delighted that after four years of having our big West window propped for safety we have started work to repair the stonework and glass.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund we are able to:
- host workshops for children from local schools about the process of creating stained glass
- make videos about the stories of the windows which will be available via QR codes
- light all the windows so that they will be visible from outside
- and have the West window restored to its original condition.
Stained glass workshops will be run by Linda Baines and Sarah Wilcock. Luke Owens is making the videos.
We are hoping the work will be completed by September 2024 and we will hold an open day in the autumn for the community to be able to view it.
