Most nativity re-enactments stop short of the night when Mary, Joseph and their young son, Jesus, had to flee their home country under the cover of darkness because they were in danger.
In some parts of the world, this is still happening every day, as families are faced with persecution and death because of their belief in Jesus if they stay where they are.
In Bradford, we receive many of these asylum seekers – Christians who have been persecuted in their home country and have had to flee to the UK, and somehow try to rebuild their lives.
This year, we are looking to raise £4,000 to help a family who were persecuted for their faith.
As a result they have amassed a large debt for the air fares that enabled them to escape to safety.
If you can help contribute anything towards this, from as little as £5, please use the details below. If you are able to gift aid your donation, please complete a gift aid form (if you have not already completed one), and add your initial and surname to the reference.
